2017 Veterans Day giving back programs and giveaways that allow all people to contribute as well as resources for veterans, retired military and active duty military to seek assistance.
Veterans Day 2017 will be on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 and designated as a Federal Holiday on Friday, November 10th, 2017.

2017 Veterans Day Charitable Programs
Abuelo’s/Home for Our Troops
Starting Thursday, Nov. 9 through Sunday, Nov. 12, Abuelo’s will donate $1 from the proceeds of every Chile con Queso appetizer sold to Homes For Our Troops, a national non-profit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes for severely injured veterans.
On Nov. 11-13 order any limited addition food item and Bar Loiue will donate 10% of the sales to Operation Homefront.
Christmas Decor will be donating their products, resources and time to decorate the homes of local military families as part of the Decorated Family Program. Nominate a family and the deadline for nominations is Veterans Day.
Dunkin’ Donuts/Home for Troops
Dunkin’ Donuts is donating $10,000 donation to Homes For Our Troops. Additionally, Dunkin’ Donuts will provide a year’s worth of Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup® pods along with a new Keurig® Brewing System to up to 100 Veterans who have been or will be provided new specially adapted custom homes by Homes For Our Troops.
Cracker Barrel/Operation Homefront
Between Oct. 30 – Nov. 11, Cracker Barrel will donate 20 percent of proceeds from online and in-store purchases of Lodge cookware to Operation Homefront. Funds raised will be donated in the form of gift cards to help provide holiday meals to military families across the country.
Hair Cuttery Share-a-Haircut program
For every adult haircut purchased on Saturday, Nov. 11, a free haircut certificate will be donated back to a veteran in communities local to Hair Cuttery’s almost 900 locations. In each market, Hair Cuttery will partner with local veterans organizations to reach those in need through the donation of haircut certificates.
Home for Our Troops/eBay for Charity
Home for Troops and eBay for Charity will hold a special auction on eBay where all the proceeds will go to Home for Our Troops and to proving adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans. The auction will go from 11/4 to 11/14.
Purchase a 2018 Hooters Calendar and Hooters will collect and deliver the calendars to U.S. military deployed around the world as part of Operation Calendar Drop.
iHOP/Fallen Patriots Foundation
$1 from the purchase of every Red, White & Blue Combo from November 1-30 goes to support Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.
For each pack of Wrigley’s Extra® Gum purchased at Kroger’s family of stores, one pack will be donated to the USO to be included in care packages for deployed service members. For every share of this video, Extra® Gum will donate $1 to the USO, up to a maximum of $25,000.
Customers can visit any of the participating locations across the US to round up their bill to the next dollar with the proceeds to be donated to the WWP in support of the warriors it serves.
On Veterans Day, NYSE, New York Stock Exchange, will donate 100% of its trading proceeds to Headstrong, a charity dedicated to providing valuable mental health services to U.S. veterans.
O’Charley’s/The Folded Flag Foundation
O’Charley’s will dontate $0.25 for every 22oz. beer sold through Veteran’s Day Weekend to The Folded Flag Foundation. The Folded Flag Foundation helps supplement the current death benefits available to the dependents of United States military personnel and other government employees who lost their lives while deployed in combat.
Outback Steakhouse/Operation Homefront
Starting November 8 through January 2, 2018, Outback customers will have the opportunity to demonstrate their support for military families through purchases at their local Outback restaurant:
– For every purchase of a Foster’s Lager Big Bloke, MillerCoors* will donate $1 to Operation Homefront
– For every purchase of Outback’s New Patriotic Punch, Outback** will donate $1 to Operation Homefront

This sweepstakes will award up to $250,000 toward a home purchase to one U.S. military service member. Veterans and current members of the U.S. armed forces are encouraged to enter the sweepstakes. Entries will be accepted until Oct. 29, 2017 at 11:59 PM ET. Open to qualifying active and retired U.S. military veterans living in the U.S.
Visit Regal theaters this Veteran’s Day and Regal will donate $1 for every large popcorn purchased on November 11 to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
Student Veterans of America Scholarships
Google, Raytheon, and Union Bank in partnership with Student Veterans of America (SVA), provide scholarships to veterans. Applications for the fall scholarship grants will be accepted on the SVA website until Monday, November, 6, 2017.
Southeastern Grocers ( BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys and Winn-Dixie grocery stores)
Southeastern Grocers will provide 1,000 veterans and their family members with football tickets to SEC football games.
Sports Clips/VFW Help A Hero Program
From October 16 through Veterans Day, November 11, Sport Clips locations around the country want you to help us “Help A Hero” by donating to our Help A Hero Scholarship program, which provides scholarships to veterans through the VFW. Sport Clips will donate $1 from every hair care service to the program. Service members and veterans will get the financial assistance they need to complete their educational goals. Sports Clips will also donate a dollar for every haircare service to the scholarship program on Veterans Day.
Starbucks Gift Card
When you give a Veterans Starbucks Card or eGift now through November 15, Starbucks donate $5 to veterans organizations that are working to strengthen our communities.

Last Years Veterans Day Charitable Programs – These have NOT been announced this year and we will move them to 2017 when and if they are announced.
On Veterans Day, Baskin-Robbins will donate 11 cents from each ice cream scoop sold in its U.S. locations to the United Service Organizations (USO), in honor of U.S troops, military families and veterans.
