List of VA approved coding schools that currently accept GI Bill benefits and other VA benefits programs. This list includes campus, hybrid and online coding bootcamps that accept GI Bill and other VA benefits.

GI Bill Eligible Coding BootcampsThis list of GI approved coding schools will continue to grow now that the Forever GI Bill has been approved and update regularly.

Under the Forever GI Bill, there will be a 5-year pilot program for veterans to enroll in high technology courses including coding boot camps. The VA will contract with more coding bootcamps to allow veterans to use GI Bill benefits towards tuition and fee payments.

Claim Academy
Accepts GI Bill: Yes
Location: St Louis, MO
Claim Academy offers 9 week or 12 week accelerated courses in order to become a Full Stack Java Software Developer or Full Stack C#/.Net Software Developer. Claim Academy is approved for The Veterans Education and Training Section for the GI Bill®.

Code Fellows
Accepts GI Bill: Yes
Location: Seattle, WA
Selected programs of study are VA approved. You can use your GI Bill® to pay for the 201, 301 and 401 classes. At this time, the GI Bill® cannot be used for the 101, 102 or 501 classes.Code Fellows accept a litany of VA benefits—Post 9/11 GI Bill®, Montgomery GI Bill®, Vocational Rehabilitation (federal and state), and Dependents Educational Assistance.

Eligible students enrolled in an immersive, 14-week program will be able to use GI Bill education benefits to fund their tuition, housing and other associated costs.

BoiseCodeWorks provides students the opportunity to learn and study in a team environment that simulates the current industry standards.They  carefully build the curriculum to ensure that students are learning the technology stacks they will be using when they step into their first job.

Codeup

Location: San Antonio, TX
If you qualify and pass the admissions tests, the VA will cover 100% of your tuition. Codeup’s Veteran Bootcamp is a 4-month program in front-end development offered, at no cost, to Veterans and transitioning servicemembers.

Coding Dojo
Accepts GI Bill: Yes
Location: Seattle, WA (not approved for other locations)
Coding Dojo offers course options for beginners all the way up to advanced developers. The 14-week Onsite Bootcamp is designed for students with little to no prior coding experience and advanced developers. The Dev Accelerators programs are for experienced developers (1-3 years of coding experience). The first veteran to attend Coding Dojo using GI Bill benefits provides his experience starting with obtaining the COE (certificate of eligibility) to attending.

Deep Dive Coding
Accepts GI Bill: Yes
Location: Albuquerque, NM
The Deep Dive Fullstack and Deep Dive .NET bootcamps are eligible for GI Bill benefits. Veterans should apply for GI Bill benefits using the VONAPP and obtain a Certificate of Eligibility before applying to the bootcamp. All coding bootcamps other than Digital Media are eligible for GI Bill benefits.

Veterans can use their post-9/11 GI Bill benefit toward one of two flagship courses at their NYC or Washington D.C. campus. Choose between Data Science, User Experience Design Immersive, Web Development Immersive or customize career support courses. These courses are 10 to 12 weeks depending on the program.

MAX Technical Training (formerly Cincy Code IT Bootcamps)

Choose from four training paths: Business Software Specialist, PC Support Specialist, .NET Developer Bootcamp, Java Developer Bootcamp. Cincy Code IT Bootcamps prepare you for a career with real economic opportunity.

Metis NYC
Accepts GI Bill: Yes
Location: New York, NY
Metis offers a 12-week, immersive, accredited data science training program to help individuals accelerate and pivot their careers in data science. Career Advisors are available to help students and grads get hired, while Sr. Data Scientists bring real-world experience to the classroom. The GI Bill benefits are only available at the NYC campus but a $3,000 scholarship is available to veterans at all locations (Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, online).

Nashville Software School

Location: Nashville, TN
NSS helps former military personnel translate their military learning into civilian roles and develop new computer development skills. NSS is one of the first coding bootcamps in the country, the first non-profit coding bootcamp, and the first bootcamp with a six month immersive curriculum.

New Horizons Computer Learning Centers
Accepts GI Bill: Yes
Location: Locations throughout the U.S.
New Horizons is official training partner for technology leaders such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA and VMware Microsoft’s largest training provider. While this would be an IT training company and not a coding bootcamp they do have locations throughout the U.S. and accept GI Bill benefits.

PDX Code Guild
Accepts GI Bill: Yes
Location: Portland, OR
Students can choose an all-day program that lasts 12 weeks or an evening program that lasts 16 weeks.

Sabio

SGGKU is the first only fully-accredited immersive Full Stack Development (coding) course in the USA. The Full Stack Development Immersive is designed to take individuals with little to no programming experience and make them successful software developers.  The program consists of 16, 1-unit semester equivalent courses and 4, 2-unit semester equivalent courses for a total program length of 30 weeks.

SecureSet Academy

SecureSet Academy is a comprehensive, accelerated cybersecurity education program that is approved to accept GI Bill benefits.

Training Camp is approved by the PA State Board of Post Secondary Education and the US Department of Veterans Affairs to accept education benefits for select programs in Pennsylvania locations. These benefits may cover up to 100% of course tuition, exam fees, and can provide a percentage stipend for your courseware, lodging, testing, and other training-related costs as well.

Tech Elevator

ZIPCODE Wilmington
Accepts GI Bill: Yes
Location: Wilmington, DE
Zip Code Wilmington is approved for the Veteran Employment Through Technology Education Courses (VET TEC) which helps eligible veterans enter the technology field by providing tuition for an approved technical training program, as well as housing assistance for the duration of schooling. Zip Code Wilmington will also provide technical training and job placement assistance for veterans and military spouses transitioning into a career in technology with a new benefit: full scholarships for select service members.
