2014-2015 Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance Rates

2014-2015 Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA) program rates are effective October 1st, 2014 through September 30th, 2015 and this years rates are about 1.4% higher than last fiscal year.  Increases occur every year on October 1st and are designed to cover the increased costs of education due to inflation. Benefits are for up to 45 months.

The Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA) program provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents and survivors of certain Veterans. Eligibility requirements include dependents of permanently and totally disabled veterans or veterans who died while serving on active duty.
